| The AM512 has the ability to drive full
duplex data at speeds of up to 512Kbps using a 2 wire circuit such as
those meeting BT EPS-9. The AM512 is a data transparent line driver, it
can be employed to drive data between geographically dispersed LAN's by
utilising ordinary telephone wires that can be leased from BT and other
national carriers. The AM512 is rate adaptive and data rates are user
selectable in increments of 64Kbps. The AM512 is available with
following optional range of interfaces:10BaseT Bridge / Router, X.21
(V.11), X.21bis (V.24), V.35, V.36, RS530 and G.703 (64Kbps
Co-directional). |
The AM512 has front panel controls which, when used with alphanumeric
liquid crystal display, allow local and remote configuration of all
operating parameters as well as a full compliment of local and remote
testing facilities. |
The AM512 incorporates Ascom's new generation of 2 wire digital
transmission system using custom LSI circuits. The design uses both
linear and non-linear echo cancellation with adaptive feedback
equalization to achieve performance with high speed data transfer.
