This is a true ADSL router. On one side a modem to connect to your ADSL line. On the other, a switch that distributes that internet access across your network. The modem uses a dedicated, high-performance chipset, and plugs straight into your telephone line with a standard cable.
Thanks to the dedicated hardware modem it is blisteringly fast. In tests its ping time is on average 10ms less than an USB modem like the Alcatel 'frog'. Great for gamers, and it won't keep you hanging around for email or web pages.
