 | Mains networking adaptor information.
An email from one of our customers says it all -
'I just put these into my network. I have to say they are brilliant - just plugged them in and they worked straight away, no fuss, no bother. If only most kit was like this.'
JM. Surrey.
Corinex network adapters allow a network to be created without the need to install network cabling. The adaptors plug into normal mains sockets and transmit network data across the mains wiring installed in the building.
Mains networking complements wireless networks due to its long 200m reach. It is unaffected by building features that often defeat Wi-Fi and is particularly useful where it is undesirable to disturb the fabric of the building.
Computers using Windows can use the Plug Top Ethernet or desk top USB adaptors. Apple or Linux users should use the Plug Top Ethernet adaptor.
The Ethernet adaptor can also be used with other networked devices such as broadband routers, cameras, set-top boxes and games consoles, as no drivers are required.
The diagram shows a typical small network wired together using Cat5 cabling and a network hub. A laptop is also sharing the broadband access through a wireless (Wi-Fi) connection. Below is the equivalent configuration using mains network adaptors and the building's mains wiring.
