Hot swappable converter cards for the FRM301 Chassis This range of converters may be used as stand alone units or as cards to suit the FRM301 chassis above. As cards they are hotswappable to ensure continuous service should they need to be inserted or removed. Both multi and single mode converters are available that can drive signals up to 120Km. A range of converter cards are also available with the latest WDM technology that utilises only a single core of fibre for full duplex bi-directional communication. Advanced features are provided within the converter cards such as link loss forwarding, loopback testing and adjustable Ethernet frame lengths to ensure transmission of extended packet lengths for services such as VLAN tagging and QOS traffic.
