Brusvily Nearby there is a bar which also sells bread, milk and basic groceries. Five minutes drive away in the village of Brusvily are all the essentials - bar restaurant, a small supermarket, a butcher who sells great ready cooked meals and a baker. |
It is about 10 minute drive to Dinan which has a host of restaurants, a lovely market on Thursday mornings, lots of timbered buildings and its own port on the river Rance. On the nearest outskirts of Dinan you will find large Le Clerc and Champion supermarkets with a superb range of fresh fish (oysters 4 euros a dozen!), meat, wine and green grocery to make eating and barbecuing at home a wonderful part of the holiday experience. |

The Coast of Brittany is simply stunning - arguably the best in France - and even in high season, when it is a firm favourite of the French themselves, it is never overcrowded. The nearest coastal town is St Briac, which is not only one of the prettiest on the coast and well worth exploring, but also offers wonderful seafood restaurants and lovely beaches; a walk along the coastal path ending with a seafood supper is one of our favourite outings. A little further west is Erquy, not quite so chic as St Briac but with a lovely harbour and a wonderful walk round the headland taking you past a series of fantastic beaches (allow 2 to 3 hours). Go a little further west for the famous 'cote de granite rose'.
